The Saint Nicolas de
Bourgueil from the Domaine de la Chevallerie is made from the
Cabernet Franc grape, also known as "breton" or "berton".
This wine is produced with great devotion by Alain Bruneau,
a winegrower who pays considerable attention to the consistency
of his wine.
The wine is clear, ruby red in colour, and
the bouquet is rich, with hints of Morello cherry, raspberry
and sweet pepper and a slightly spicy edge. The attack is
unequivocal, and the development long, supple and silky.
